Matthew Hibben was born in 1976 in Torrance, CA and grew up in the Los Angeles port area of San Pedro. From an early age Matthew showed artistic talent and majored in Art in high school and college. Matthew moved to Syracuse, NY in 2000 and received his Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of Syracuse in 2006, specializing in Illustration. He has exhibited at numerous galleries including Gallery Godo and Hive Gallery in Los Angeles and Lightworks Gallery and Chairz Gallery in Syracuse. Mark Hibben is the father of Matthew and was born 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Los Angeles. Mark was an English major in high school but gradually slid into science and engineering in college. He received a BS in Chemistry from California State University Dominguez Hills in 1982 and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1992 specializing in Electro-physics. Since 1984, Mark has worked mainly in the Defense electronics industry. Despite pursuing engineering as a career, he never lost his love of literature and writing, and is an avid science fiction reader, favoring writers such as China Mieville, Neal Stephenson, Richard K. Morgan, and William Gibson. In 2009, Mark left the Defense industry to start Technomicon Media. Mark provides the technical inspiration and user interface concepts for Technomicon Media's new site, as well as contributing to Tech Chat.
